Here’s a sneak peek at House of 5th S/S 2012 collection! The vision for this collection was “urban essentials”. Using bold color, clean geometrics and a hint of tribal undertones, HO5 wants to transport the wearer to a mindset of living a lavish coastal life that’s urban and bold.
House of 5th relies heavily on the feedback from their loyal customer base and wanted the new collection to reflect what their customers wanted.
Truen Jaimes, the lead designer of this Indianapolis based design house says, “While so many fashion houses begin with a single product & expand from there, House of 5th started out with a macro perception of fashion. We started the house moving in many directions to determine what worked best to express our multi faceted approach to fashion. House of 5th opened its doors with a variety of offerings including woven, knits, men’s, women’s, etc. ad in 2012 we have adjusted our approach to drill down to not only what our core consumers repeatedly respond to but also what we love creating. We considered some of our early ideas failures, but those failures have laid the groundwork for products that have turned out to be our most successful pieces and helped construct a stronger foundation.”
Fans of HO5 can expect to see the house continue to build on and expand on the very ideas that they have fallen in love with. HO5 will also continue experimenting with the technical aspects of fashion development as well as being creatively forward. Jaimes says, “We’re excited to be establishing pieces that our future designers will pull apart in 60 years to see what really made this house tick.”
