Some say jewelry is just an accessory but according to Cheeky Couture, jewelry is a way of life. Cheeky Couture is a designer line of cubic zirconium (CZ) and crystal jewelry based out of Indianapolis.
Since its founding in 2004, Cheeky Couture has become a staple line in many of Indianapolis’ and surrounding area boutiques. With twenty-five locations nationwide, the company has grown tremendously with much thanks to social media and devoted personal stylists, says Lisa Miller, VP of Sales and Marketing. “Our stylists carry the line because they’re passionate about our jewelry, it’s unique and fun – they sell it because they love it,” Miller said.
Miller and Cheeky founder Angie Belttari-Parker aren’t just two women selling bracelets and earrings, they’re pure jewelry enthusiasts. The mission of Cheeky Couture is to inspire women to look and feel their absolute best. Miller and Parker believe this is when women will be their most confident self.
Price points range from $12 to $125 which Miller says is important to keep the line accessible but they also work to achieve a balance between keeping the prices reasonable while continuing to offer one-of-a-kind collections.
Future goals for Cheeky Couture include expanding into a physical storefront location and adding a line of upscale lingerie as early as February of 2011.
In the meantime, they plan to continue their expansion to more boutiques, salons, and spas throughout Indianapolis and the rest of the country.
Cheeky Couture has long been a cheerleader to the Indianapolis fashion scene and an active supporter of many members of the fashion arts community. I applaud them for recognizing the importance of encouraging creativity and kinship in an industry that often falls short in offering accolades for its peers.
Perhaps it’s time for more of us to “get our cheeky on.”
