Inspiration: Profiles of Black Women Changing Our World
CRYSTAL MCCARY AND NATHAN HALE WILLIAMS
At the weariest of life, adversity makes me question why the hint of melanin in my skin is treated like it’s melanoma. Oddly enough, the same breastmilk was always pure and worthy of consumption by all. Nevertheless, as much as we hope for the complexion barrier to dissipate the more I realize people will never let this inconsequential factor expire. This draws attention my Inspiration book of black women changing our world. To see women of melanin achieve greatness ignite my musing to be great.
Fast Forward Fashion: Where Fashion Defies Function
NATHALIE GROLIMUND
I will have to admit, there is something about an oversized book with fashion images. It’s clearly the industry standard! This is my ideal book for creative inspiration. It fosters in intricate detailing for aspiring designers wanting more in their design aesthetic.
9 Heads: A Guide to Drawing Fashion

I will one day, sketch just as fast as I can construct a garment. Ha! Time for a cigarette break…joke kidding I don’t smoke. Maybe I’m slightly anal in my expectations of my sketches.
The Art of Being You
GIANNI VERSACE
As a child Gianni Versace was my sole inspiration for wanting to be a designer. You will find a picture of Gianni on my shelf in my design space. I love it when the true fashionistas acknowledge him. That’s when I know they are just as passionate as I am about fashion. He is my glass of nostalgia topped off by stuffed olives with blue cheese.
