Reagan Allen

Major: Photojournalism
Recent trip or travel memory:I had the amazing opportunity to travel to São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil a couple weeks before the 2016 Summer Olympics with a group of journalism majors at BSU. We focused on documenting Brazilian culture and how the Olympics was affecting the country. It was my first time outside of the United States and the experience definitely sparked my love for travel photography.
Favorite song or artist: The Summer Set’s album “Stories for Monday” has been my go-to music lately
First fashion memory you can remember: I did my first “fashion” photo shoot a little over two years ago which was kind of my “clicking” moment when I realized that was the type of work I wanted to pursue.
Personal / Internship Goals: I’ve never worked with a fashion publication before, so I’m excited to build my portfolio and do bigger stylized shoots. After I graduate in May, I want to find a job with a fashion magazine or move out west to pursue a career as a freelance lifestyle photographer.

Tell us something about your childhood: My Dad took a job in Norway when I was 4 years old so I lived there with him and the rest of my family for two years.
What’s on your Tidal playlist: Recently I’ve been playing a lot of, Brockhampton, Tyler, the Creator and Skepta. However, Kanye West is always in rotation.
If you were going to be stranded on an island what would bring: My phone for the music, camera and games, and a solar charger to keep it juiced.

Favorite thing about Indy: The weather in the Spring and Fall is perfect for just getting out and enjoying the rest of what Indy has to offer. (Summer and Winter can get too hot/cold)
