It was a great pleasure to host a VIP reception for our community of fashion professionals and fashion lovers at the Artsgarden during Fashion’s Night Out. The turnout was great and the energy even better! We owe a debt of gratitude to our beverage sponsor, Jill Ditmire of Mass Ave Wine Shoppe, as well as to the incredibly helpful and professional staff at the Artsgarden, Mike, Jeff and Erin.
The rest of the night was a great success as well. Not perfect mind you, but for our first time, not a bad effort at all. I personally want to thank Petra Slinkard, Ian Stikeleather, Jennifer Jones, Jeremiah Williams, Truen Jaimes, Julia Rutland, Danielle Smith, Elizabeth Friedland, Michael Huber, Mark Fisher, Tad Lupton, Sandi Ballard, Esther Boston, Rebecca Shehorn, Stephen Simonetto, DJ Paren, Courtney Folger-Wiese, Cara Tudor, Maria Dickman, Jason Joliff and Perry Ninness for contributing in a myriad of different ways to make the event come together and run smoothly on the day.
As well, a huge kudos to the designers, stylists and their models: Anton Alexander, Affectation, Nikki Blaine Couture, House of 5th, Aesthetic Design Style House, Angel Olivera, Nurture and Danisha Greene of Fashionably Yours. Those of you who attended and got to see the handiwork of the above-mentioned labels and individuals will no doubt agree that Indianapolis has a lot more to the fashion scene than initially meets the eye. Pssst! Spread the word, okay?
And let’s not forget the amazing stylists who have breathed some excitement and color into those lifeless ex-Nordstrom
windows: Dlang, Zoe Renee, Annie Stultz, Kelly Kruthaupt, Madison Hanulak, Savannah Norris and Latham Hawkins! If
you’ve yet to see the windows, please stop by and let us know what you think. I hope that you will be impressed and inspired!
Aaaaaaand!! There were also all those fabulous bloggers who came and hung out at the social media lounge. And cool local brands like No Bad Ideas, People for Urban Progress, BlumLux and Sugar & Bruno who joined them.
Phew! So many people to acknowledge!! If I missed anyone at all, I beg your forgiveness!
Last, but not least, I want to recognize our sponsors, The City of Indianapolis, DevelopIndy, Tricoci University, Kenra Professional, A Class Act Limo, BLU, Social Club 19 and Simon Malls. Without your support, this event could no
t have happened!
What’s next for Pattern? Well, our regular monthly meetup is scheduled for September 26 and we have something very special and fun planned – stay tuned for details and sign up on meetup.com to be the first to know when registration opens for this free event. Also, we’re in the process of planning the launch of our fall issue of Pattern magazine on October 9 and also our annual Fall 2013 Trend Report with Fran Yoshioka on October 10. Save those dates and be sure to follow us on twitter and facebook to stay in the loop.
Thanks again for being a part of our community and for your enthusiasm and support. The future’s looking bright! I gotta wear shades!
