After owning a salon at the age of 21, I could not fight the urge to learn design. Attending Ball State with the intent to earn a degree in Fashion Design and Illustration, I fell in love with education and the learning culture. I completed my undergrad degree in what is considered ModHome Economics, or FCS (thank you Shelly Leer). Basically encompassing all the things I love: culture, travel, fashion and interior design/marketing, artistic/creative thought, nutrition, relationships and communication. Throughout my graduate education at the university, I have been given a rare chance to lecture and facilitate coursework in the before mentioned areas. My graduate education and cultural immersion (or diversion from my small town roots) have given me a World View that I appreciate and respect.
