People of Pattern: Jace Wallace

Jace is an American born director|photographer. Since he began his career in 2010, he has created visuals on a variety of media platforms. Those media platforms range from advertising campaigns to artist branding, films and music videos.

What do your friends call you?

Everyone calls me “Jace”, but my close family. They still call me “Jeremy”.

How old are you (if you don’t mind me asking!)?

I am 26 years old.

Where are you from?

I was born and raised in Indianapolis.

Which neighborhood do you live in right now?

I live in Mapleton-Fall Creek.

What do you do for a living?

I am the founder / director for the Indianapolis-based production company, A Million Other Things.

What do you do as a creative outlet?

As a creative outlet, I like to write short stories / films and photograph.

What’s the most interesting thing happening in Indy right now?

I think the most interesting thing happening in Indianapolis at the moment is the diversity. There’s diversity in people, ideas and brands. It’s a beautiful place to be.

Favorite local brewery, distillery or winery?

I’m not much of a drinker.

Last trip you took?

The last trip I took was with my wife, model, Ebony Smith-Wallace to New York, shadowing her as she worked.

How did you hear about Pattern?

I heard about PATTERN two years ago through social media. I began hearing a number of people sharing links and photos of PATTERN. It was beautiful to see such a fresh, new group of creatives coming together for one common goal: inspire.

What are you doing this coming weekend?

This weekend, I am currently set to shoot a commercial for Desmon Keeton’s line, DMC and finalizing script for Chicago-based PRSVR’s upcoming commercial spots I will be directing.

What event are you looking forward to attending this month?

This month, I look forward to attending Creative Mornings. Excited to see my man, Tony Styxx speak.
