Kate Spade opened its flagship Indiana store at the Fashion Mall at Keystone on Thursday, May 30. In between cupcakes and San Pellegrino, I had the chance to chat with Jessica Quirk of What I Wore, Erica Fox, store manager, and Lindsay Levin, store associate, about Kate, clothing, color, and Indianapolis fashion.
“After an extensive mall renovation and the addition of other high end store, Indy has shown it’s ready for new stores like Kate to open,” remarked Lindsay. At Kate Spade, everyday exuberance is evident and Indianapolis will soon be replete in color, prints, and playful sophistication.
The store debuted with the SS 2013 travel & adventure collection, Off We Go, complete with handbags, clothing, shoes, jewelry, and accessories. Beginning in June, they’ll roll out new pieces from An element of surprise – “perfectly suited for the fashion forward gal who shows up with a golf bag and rocks it,” said Erica. The store changes over inventory every 3 months, freshened with new goods in between. Dresses are predicted to be the hot seller, and rightly so, with all the charming cuts, color and patterns.
Choose your own adventure this summer, and do it in Kate Spade.
