Street Style: Vol. 2

Name: Natasha Garcia

Age: 28

Occupation: Membership Director at The Columbia Club

Dream Job: Food and Resort Photographer for a high profile  magazine

Self-Description of Style: International Bohemian

Fashion Item you can’t live  without: Earrings. My mother  always told me to never leave the  house without earrings.

Favorite Place to Shop: Indy Swank or on Vacation. “It’s like a  treasure hunt!  Shopping is more  fun when it can become an adventure and each piece can have an identity.”

Tell me about your pieces: The Earrings and Bone Ring are from a trip to visit family in Columbia.  The bag is from a vacation in Mexico.  The rest is because I now live in Indiana where the weather is unpredictable so knowing how to layer is important.  Layering gives you a chance to throw together different pieces, play with texture and color.  I really like being unpredictable and using color.”

How did you get to Indiana: Via Puerto Rico, Baton Rouge, Scottsdale and Atlanta.  I moved here for love and have loved the move.

You’re well traveled, where’s your favorite destination: Columbia. Visiting my family allowed me to solidify part of my identity.  It was my first time back in 20 years and I was able to bring back a stronger sense of who I am.

Favorite style on the opposite sex: A guy who can accessorize and dress up, rock some scruff without looking homely and a good newsboy cap.

Least favorite style on the opposite sex: White sneakers.

One piece of fashion advice for Indianapolis: Be fun, life is fun.  Wear more colors and embrace life.

Favorite Indianapolis hangout: The Jazz Kitchen

Favorite thing about Indianapolis: The accessibility.  Anything you enjoy, Indianapolis has a scene for it.  You just need to dive in and give it a chance.
